I was just wondering how much of a concern humidity is for indoor aquaponic systems in Colorado. Do you all find you need a dehumidifier? I would think that some extra moisture in the house might…Continue

I'd like to start documenting the progress of who's doing aquaponics and hydroponics in the Denver Metro area. Pictures, questions, perhaps video (after I work up the $). The results will be posted…Continue

I know these aren't native to our state, but if grubs are placed in a greenhouse, will the adult flys create their own new colony? I know they aren't good at flying, so I figure if they are stuck…Continue

It is some sort of glitch in Ning, probably because I'm the admin for this group. Sorry...not sure what to do about that, Jon. I"m certainly not doing it on purpose.
For instance, after posting the comment below I clicked "stop following" - but your comment still showed up in my email. It only seems to be when you (Sylvia) post that it resets.
Not sure what you mean, Jon. If you don't want to follow the comments in here just hit the blue link "Stop Following" below the emoticons by the Add Comment button.

Hi Colorado Aquapons! Just added two new events in Boulder
Hope to see you all at one, or both, of these events!
Hey locals,
I'm still looking for a home for my IBCs. I have two food-grade, already cut to one 200 gal tank, and either 2 growbeds and a sump or three growbeds, however you want to lay them out. No pluming holes have been made. All of the cages and tanks have been cut, just looking to get the $200 I spent on them originally. May be able to deliver in the Denver area. Save yourself a weekend with the angle grinder!
I was told these totes were used to store water on the trains. I did ask before I bought them and the man who sold them to us said he cuts them in half and feeds all his livestock with them.
Yesterday in the middle of nowhere out the front of a mans property we found 3 IBC containers in amazing condition. 330 gallons each and we got them $60.00 a piece. I cant believe it was such a find! We delivered them to the house about 30 minutes ago. So now we can begin...be warned I'm going to be asking some questions...Like what should I clean them out with to make sure there is no kind of residue in the IBC's?
