Hey guys.. Whats this that I keep hearing about shrimp being raised along side the tilapia? Any truth to it? Keep both tilapia and shrimp in the same grow out tanks? If anything wouldn't they be better off in the lettuce tanks underneath the rafts?

Thought this group would find Ecofilms latest blog post interesting.  It is about which plants are most profitable in an AP system - http://www.ecofilms.com.au/2011/12/17/commercial-aquaponics-what-pl...

Hi all,

I am glad that I found this group where we will probably have a similar focus . I recently started the process of cycling my small commercial system here in Belize, just about 2 weeks ago so I am still pretty much a newbie to the commercial side of things. I look forward to sharing photos in a week or so and enjoy sharing and learning together in this group.

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd post that if anyone here is seriously considering a commercial AP operation to give me a call.  We have some new equipment and pricing on tower systems.

Looks like it's a platform that anyone could use to set up an internet farmers market on just about any scale.

Here is a site that is doing something sort of similar here in Orlando and it is part of LocallyGrown.net so I expect there are a bunch of these popping up around the country.
