Regulations affecting aquaponics in New Zealand

http://www.fao.org/fishery/legalframework/nalo_newzealand/enIt appears to be a strict environment to attempt the practice of aquaponics in my homeland. Chinook Salmon and Koura (Fresh water crayfish) appear to be on the (Very) short list.I suspect there would not be a large market for khoi in NZ, and it is a long way from export markets if one could manage live shipment.Of course further reading is needed!See More

Aquaponics
Are you an aquaponic gardener already?
No
If so, what type of system? (pick all that apply)
flood and drain media, vertical
What type of fish do you grow with? (select all that apply)
Tilapia, Trout
How big is your fish tank?
Two IBC to start with? ~500 gallon
Please tell us something else about yourself.
Grew up on a sheep/cattle farm and have been trying to get an outside veggie garden going for two year, but my workload will not allow one to keep up with the weeding needed here in Ohio.

Contemplating having the two IBC tanks run separate grow bed systems. I think this will quarantine waterbourne disease to some extent.

IBCs in the driveway

I've scored six IBCs and they're sitting in the driveway. Still working on the plan for my basement in Google Sketchup. There is a lot of planning still to do - and cleaning out the basement!

Thank you so much for your comment.  I actually just came back from the store earlier with some TSP.  I have seen a few forum post about using this. Do you see a problem with this.  I should also be able to use your vinegar suggestion to neutralize the phosphate, correct?
