Tomato root ball

I have a flood and drain bed where I planted 6 tomatoes (too many, I've found).  They are huuuge and the rootballs are growing on top of the media now.  They've just started fruiting so I had to take them out, but I'm afraid the roots are causing drainage problems. Suggestions?See More

Good morning Mo. I'm in Gainesville also between Gainesville & Newberry. I'm just braking ground on our hoop green house. We should talk maybe we can both benefit from the conversation. I'm an old guy but fact is we never stop turning. I had white tilapia shipped in from Kansas but that was before I discovered the Aquaponics web site. In any case I'm going to put all my contact information here below so that you can contact me if you like.  Evening after dark is probably best.  House number is   472-9513

Welcome GMo,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page.  You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.

Please add a profile image, participate and check in with us every day!  We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Sylvia
