After a short delay in the project to get some properly grounded outlets installed in the basement workshop, yesterday filled my new aquaponics system with water and turned on the pump!The good news is the siphon action set up on the first try! "That looks like a brass fitting connected to one of those pipes. I would replace that with something NOT metal if you can.
Most metals are not really safe for aquaponics."

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.
