When I told my wife about aquaponics, she said sarcastically, "Oh no, I'm afraid, very afraid." She then made breast stroke swimming gestures and said, "Come-on, ______(daughter), we don't need to go to the pool anymore, daddy just built us one, just don't step on a tilapia!"

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! You already have some fun posts and seem like the kind of guy who is going to great to have in here.... I love that your wife is afraid. She should be. This is an addictive hobby. You've been warned. ;-)

I hope you find it a great place to explore aquaponics. I’ve started the ball rolling with a few general forum topics, and will try to add more on a regular basis, but I’m hoping that you and others will add your own topics as they occur to you. I’ve also added some of my favorite videos and a few random photos…again, please share your favorites with us!

We have just a few simple rules: stay on the subject of aquaponics and keep it cordial (no flaming!). If someone decides to break these rules they will get a warning, and then be banned from the community after that. But of course I’m hoping that never happens!

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you and hearing more about your wife and daughter swimming with your tilapia.
