"That's probably because the powerhead isn't really a pump. It is used primarily to move water within the tank, not move water OUT of the tank. I don't imagine that it is able to generate enough "head" (pressure)…"

- Hey Robin, let's definitely stay in touch. My aquaponic system did not have enough fish mass to keep up with what I wanted to grow plant wise, so I converted it back to a hydroponic system. I'm moving to Tuscon in August to finish my 2nd BA but if there is anything I can do to help before then please let me know! I'm always up for some volunteer work, especially if it involves hydro/aquaponics! I will also be donating 5 goldfish and 1 pleco in the near future....
